Snare
The 909 snare drum has two parts: A tone that simulates the vibration of the drum skin, and noise that simulates the sound of the metal wires.
In this library, the tone and noise are separate samples. This makes it possible to create the entire range of 909 snare drum sounds with much fewer samples.

This program has one octave of pitched tones layered with the noise. Keyswitches change the noise decay. The Kontakt program has knobs to change the sound:
EXS24: Load this into the multi output EXS24 instrument. The noise comes out of output 3-4. Change the level of the noise for a greater variety of sounds.

S909 Snare tone+noise
This program has one octave of pitched tones, and one octave of noise. In the noise octave, each key has a different noise decay.
To make this sound like a 909 snare, play a tone and noise at the exact same time. Combine different tone and noise keys, and play the tone and noise at different velocities to vary the sound.
The Kontakt program has level knobs for the tone and noise:
